An introduction to the discipline and its origin, Understanding the Mind, and its four different functions, The theory of Meditation, The five types of thoughts, Preparations for Meditation, The Meditation environment, Exploring methods of Meditation, Tools for one pointed meditation practice, The obstacles to Meditation, Yoga Asana, Yoga Nidra, The chanting of AUM, Breathing techniques, and The 8 limbs of Yoga.
The course includes Yoga and Meditation Yoga is a set of mental, physical and spiritual practices that alleviate anxiety, stress and depression, whilst addressing a range of health issues. The classes are an introduction to Yoga postures, suitable for all abilities. It also includes some theoretical knowledge and meditation techniques.
It is amazing for people suffering with mental health issues, which has greatly improved their overall mental fitness.
Ramana Devi has been given permission to teach Traditional Advaita Vedanta and Hindu Philosophy outside of India, and in the West including Europe by Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, Senior Disciple of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati Maharaj, Jyotir Math.
Ramana devi teaches meditation in her own unique modern style, but without losing the traditional basis of this ancient wisdom. Empathising the importance of cultivating ones own relationship with meditation, and not attempting to meditate like the crowd. Putting oneself and ones own ideas and beliefs into the practice of meditation.
Our course is Free, but we ask for a £450 donation which pays for a student in India to study in a Gurukul with an advanced Shankaracharya teacher for one year.
