Adi Shankaracharya

Introducing a drawing here of Adi Shankaracharya. My daughter Sachi drew this image for me a few years ago. For me it represents the part within us all that is devoted to Self realization. My whole life and all i do is in service to the Self. Not just my own Self, but the Self within us all. I believe that all Selves are ultimately one, and have always been of this belief, even as a small child i had the awareness that we are not seperate beings but parts of a whole. It was when i found Advaita Vedanta that i found a philosophy and tradition that reflected my own innate beliefs. And i felt that i had come home. Adi Shankaracharya, is the foremost leader of this philosophy. I am a great admirer of his life and all he achieved for the cause of Self realization. By visualizing this image, and focusing on its attributes you can draw up this part of you from your subconscious mind; the part of you that is aware of your own process of Self realization.
